What is Massage Therapy?
Massage Therapy is the manipulation of the bodies’ soft tissues in a specific and skillful manner to achieve a therapeutic effect. Therapists use their extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology to reach the desired results. We offer a wide range of therapeutic massage treatments including, full-body relaxation, deep tissue, sports therapy massage, pre/post-natal massage and manual lymphatic drainage.
Hot Stone Massage Therapy
Hot Stone Massage Therapy is a combination of heated smooth flat stones and therapeutic massage that relaxes your muscles, allowing your therapist to apply deeper pressure (if desired). This will improve circulation and calm your nervous system. Central Avenue Health Centre uses Basalt Stones for Hot Stone Massage Therapy. These unique stones are formed as lava cools following volcanic eruption.

WCB and SGI Patients
Have you been injured in a work or car accident? We have MTAS certified therapists to provide SGI and WCB approved treatments.
Getting the most out of your massage
It is very important to drink plenty of water after your massage to keep your tissues hydrated and to flush out any toxins released by the massage. An Epson Salt Bath is recommended to sooth and calm muscles after a massage to enhance the benefits and alleviate stiffness the next day.
