From Athlete to Chiropractor
Dr. Jared’s decision to get on the chiropractic path began as a teenage athlete dealing with shoulder and elbow injuries and a few other issues. “But mainly those were the ones that I got turned on to chiropractic from because I’d gone to a physio and doctors, and nothing was helping me. And then I went to a chiropractor and he made me substantially better in about two visits; it was crazy how fast it happened!”
Inspired by his rapid recovery, Dr. Jared committed to making chiropractic care a part of his routine, eventually pursuing a career dedicated to helping others find the same relief and wellness.
Educational Excellence and Diverse Expertise
Dr. Jared’s academic achievements are impressive, with degrees from the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. He earned the following:
- Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry
- Bachelor of Science in Human Biology
- Doctor of Chiropractic
- Master of Science in Sports Medicine
This extensive education reflects his dedication to understanding the human body and its potential for healing through chiropractic care and sports medicine.
Passionate About Staying Active
Physical activity remains a core passion for Dr. Jared. Whether running, walking his dog, or hitting the gym, he incorporates exercise into his daily routine. His commitment to an active lifestyle influences his practice, promoting holistic wellness and encouraging patients to integrate physical activity into their lives. Dr. Jared believes staying active can alleviate body aches, improve mental health, and lead a more fulfilling life.
Returning Home to Saskatoon
After practicing in Boise, Idaho, Dr. Jared returned to Saskatoon to be closer to family and friends. Now part of the Central Avenue Health Centre team, he appreciates the clinic’s supportive culture and dedication to patient success.
He and his wife, who works at the University of Saskatchewan’s Western College of Veterinary Medicine developing curriculum, are expecting their first child.

Dr. Papish has worked wonders on my neck. I was experiencing constant tingling and numbness down my arm and in my hands. I have osteoarthritis in my neck. After several treatments I can now move my neck better and the tingling and numbness has decreased at least 90%. Thanks Roy.
